1)Using your data table from 3.1, calculate the average velocity for your mousetrap car during the best run in the final assessment.

Best Run : 6.54 metres in 7 seconds

Calculations :

                                 average velocity (vave)=  6.54 / 7.00
                                                                      = 0.934 meter/second (3.s.f)

2)Which part of your mousetrap car design worked the best? Explain your answer.

The drivetrain worked best. This was due to the low friction between the axel and the rear axel housing, and also due to the string being un obstructed as it pulls on the axel.

3)If you had more time to work on your mousetrap car, state and explain how you will improve/modify the current design?

If we had more time we would have changed the forward axel mounting , we would make the axel mounting more secure to help the car move straighter. Since energy cannot be created or destroyed, by reducing the vibration of the axel we can reduce the amount of energy lost and increase the amount of energy transferred  to the wheels, thus the car will travel faster and further.
